HOMEWORK:
Homework in Akomanga Ono is here to stay. There is, however, some confusion as to what this looks like. The homework books are a resource that whānau have paid for and should be used. If your child is coming home saying they have no homework or that they don't have to do it, then remind them that they do. Spelling lists can be found on this blog and children are able to record these to take home.
Homework is due on a Friday morning and can be handed in before school. Students will now be expected to complete the required section before this time, or during homework club before they get the privileges they are sometimes afforded. THIS IS NEW THIS TERM IN ROOM 6 AND IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT TO PREPARE THE YEAR 5s FOR YEAR 6, AND THE YEAR 6s FOR INTERMEDIATE. I thank you for your support in this, and apologise for any confusion the homework policy may have created up to now.
